About the Artist.

‘Appetite Increases with Eating’

I'm an artist who dedicates himself to erotica because no other subject is as immediate or as potent.  I aim to create exquisite, seductive images that engages both the  intellect and the senses of the onlooker, images that promote intense subjective pleasure through the transgression and transcendence of taboos, the total  negation of  religious and political moral authority, which only breeds boredom, sexual inhibition, and an unquestioning acceptance of prevailing norms; The obscene progeny of church and state.

I see my work as an expression of an unrestrained pleasure principle, against guilt, ‘public decency’ and hypocrisy. Put simply, I like to spit in the face of god and all his salesmen.

By exploring themes such as erotic anticipation, ambiguity, control and restraint, abandon and release, as physical and emotional states, I want to inspire the viewer to take his, or her, desires for reality.

Incubus Six, my pseudonym, is an obscure reference (and homage), to the Marquis De Sade. The incubi of medieval Christian myth were nocturnal spirits of lust – sexual nightmares – that took their 'innocent' victims while they slept. Sade has become the incubus of the modern world, haunting the imagination of fine upstanding citizens –those that hawk anaemic family values, whilst dropping bombs on children, and the bourgeois who denies sexual freedom to others, whilst enjoying all the privileges that power and wealth allows. Prisoner number six in the Bastille, De Sade, showed the mind of man as it truly is -a paradoxical relationship between power, desire, freedom and pleasure, -the dialectic between master and slave.

‘…only by sacrificing all on the altar of sensual

gratification, can this individual -he who never

asked to be born into so sorry a world- can this

poor creature, named Man, sow a smear of roses

over the arid path of life’
